Braces

We use braces to give you a Superstar Smile in 18 to 24 months. Metal braces have colored rubber bands to show off your personality. Clear ceramic braces give you a more discreet appearance. Both types of braces limit your diet somewhat, but the ceramic braces are a little more restrictive—you won’t be able to indulge in coffee, soda, black tea, and curried foods, as they can stain the brackets. Clear braces are also not advised for smokers.

Invisalign^® & Invisalign Teen

Invisalign and Invisalign Teen use a series of clear, removable aligners, similar to retainers that are used after braces are taken off. However, they’re completely clear, providing more discretion. You can take them out to eat and drink whatever you’d like, and to brush and floss your teeth. You’ll wear each aligner for about two weeks, then switch to a new one—you may go through as few as 10 or as many as 30 aligners, depending on the plan Dr. Chen develops with you.
